Interested in working together?
I am actively looking for opportunities of collaborating with ecologists, microbiologists, and modelers on academic research (e.g., publications or proposals), potential research foci that may intrigue collaboration include but not limited to:
Improve our understanding of microbial ecology by implementing field and lab experiment.
Advance our understanding of the Soil microbe-Carbon cycle-Climate system by integrating observational networks (e.g., NEON), eddy covariance measurements, remote sensing, and global databases with Earth system models that incorporate microbial mechanisms in biogeochemical cycling.
Investigate how soil microbes respond to environmental change (e.g., nitrogen deposition, climate warming, elevated CO2, changing precipitation, wildfires, etc.) in terrestrial ecosystems ecosystems, such as forests, grasslands, Mediterranean shrublands, and permafrost, by applying microbial models or implementing experiments.
Empower soil microbial models with genetic data through contributing genetic data and appropriate interpretation of how to use the data.
